Hi, how are you? I’m good. I’d like to introduce my stay in Australia.
My host family includes my host mum Judy, my host dad John and my host sister Maddy.
They are so amazing. They treat me like their true family.
We left Tokyo for Brisbane on 19th January. I felt this flight was long.
We had to change flights in Sydney. We tried a big challenge. That is to transfer to the domestic line.
It was very difficult for us to do. But we could succeed.
And then, we arrived in Brisbane.
Mrs. Steven took us to Brigidine College by car and we met our host family.
The next morning, we fed some animals which belong to my host family’s friends. We fed the animals for four more days.
They have two ducks, two cats and two chickens.
They are so cute and move playfully.
After having done it, we went to the museum in Brisbane. We could see various animals there.
I thought that there were real animals in the museum…
On another day, I went to Stradbroke Island off the coast of Brisbane by ferry.
On the ferry, I was invited to the captain’s seat to hold the wheel while he took a photo.
When we arrived on the island, we met Lee-Anne and her daugher Ayla, who drove us to their holiday house and then to a calm beach for swimming.
Then Lee-Anne bought some dead frozen fish to feed to the dolphins which swam to me in the water.
When I fed the dolphins, I also played with a dead frozen fish. It was a funny day.
Next evening, we made Sushi for ourselves. We cooked rice and cut tuna expertly and salmon and cucumber.
It was hard for us to press a piece of Sushi into shape.
But I could make them delicious.
On the first Saturday, we joined the Brisbane City Hall Tour and went up the clock tower in a very old elevator to see the view of Brisbane City center.
On the way back home, we went up Mt.Cootha. I thought the view of Brisbane was awesome.
The next day, 26th January was AUSTRALIA DAY!!!!
We went to South Bank by train and I put a sticker of the Australia flag on my arm.
And we saw such wonderful fireworks I have never seen before.
I enjoyed the day very much.
Next day, I went to Indooroopilly shopping center cinema to see a movie with Maddy and Akane.
We watched “Frozen”, which is one of the Disney movies, having popcorn and drinks.
The cinema was different from those in Japan. For example, there were less seats.
On January 31st, we had a swimming carnival!
And then, I talked with Briana, who takes Japanese in year11.
She spoke to me in Japanese and I spoke to her in English.
So we could practice each language together. It was a lot of fun^^
Later, we took the photo. She is very talkative.
And this is a sports uniform of the school. It’s not pants but a skirt. I like it.
See you later, Aligator.
